…in chilly weather.
A place for my photos and thoughts and stuff.

…in chilly weather.

The only wildlife we saw on the trip.

Snow? Didn’t have that on my bingo card!

Didn’t stick around in town, but it gave us some very pretty mountain views.
A bit of fall color!

I think the locals call it “perched rock” or “balanced rock” or some lame thing like that. When I first saw it, I was about 3, and I dubbed it Friend Rock…I mean, look at it! Wouldn’t you want it to be your friend? It’s always been mine.

I paid too much money for a hoodie with Friend Rock on it. Worth every penny. I would have paid twice as much.

K had to set up this fancy shot, but if you zoom in, you see the dog is going ballistic (she thinks K is leaving us), and I’m screaming at her to take the @$%^ picture already.

They have a chair lift that I’ve been on once or twice, and a couple of runs and a ski lodge that you can barely see at the top.

Beautiful, like everything else about this place.

Not the best-looking ones, but I’ll take it.

The level’s low, but it’s still so lovely.

I’m no tracker, but I’m guessing this is deer.

Carson Peak.

Just digging around the shoreline.

Little Jo checking out the lake. She said it tasted good.

She took exception to the little ripples lapping the shore.

There’s no place like the eastern Sierras!

This would constitute a riot of autumn in Orange County.
