What will March bring?

When presented with your own private lake…

Check to see if anyone’s watching…

Then dive in, face first.

Back again, and not for the last time this season!

There’s so many big, old olive trees. I’m assuming they were planted when the place was built, 90 years ago. I love those crazy gnarled roots.

George “The Iceman” Woolf, who rode Seabiscuit to victory in the famous match race with War Admiral. He also owned The Derby, a great restaurant up the road. It’s one of Southern California’s oldest. See it before it’s swallowed up by one of those horrid “pack and stack” developments.

The statue of my favorite horse ever, Zenyatta, with flowers and memorials put up for her trainer, who had died the day before.

Gotta get a Bob’s tout sheet! I did the math, and compared his plays with the ones I made. I was more profitable by .10, LOL!

I love that art deco frontage.
I’ll be back, Santa Anita!

The wild mustard was going wild!

I love that big rubbery schnozz.

I love those big ears and those fat paws.

I love that goofy overbite.

I love that spicy Wild Child attitude.
Mostly.
Let us celebrate Japanese packaging design…

Raccoon dogs hawking booze!

Hamsters hawking false eyelashes!

Sweaty ladies hawking “detox” pads for your feet!
They have no peer at this sort of thing.

I think the locals call it “perched rock” or “balanced rock” or some lame thing like that. When I first saw it, I was about 3, and I dubbed it Friend Rock…I mean, look at it! Wouldn’t you want it to be your friend? It’s always been mine.

I paid too much money for a hoodie with Friend Rock on it. Worth every penny. I would have paid twice as much.

K had to set up this fancy shot, but if you zoom in, you see the dog is going ballistic (she thinks K is leaving us), and I’m screaming at her to take the @$%^ picture already.

Not liking the look of things. Perhaps being at the edge of a cliff has something to do with it.

This stretch of beach has such a lovely central coast vibe.

I wonder how many selfies this cute little tower has been in?

ZOMG THIS IS FUN RUNRUNRUN!

This was after she accidentally got some water on her.

She gave the Pacific Ocean a good talking to for that.

A rare quiet moment for our little Chaos Agent.
