The garden was full of good cheer…

Thank goodness for the nasturtiums…

…and a rose here and there…

…and the daisies always put on a good show…
A place for my photos and thoughts and stuff.

Gotta brush up on the water activities!

There will be a lot of them in her future because she’s a total water baby!

…act casual.

It happens a whole 2 or 3 times a year!

We’ve pulled out so much and put up fences and netting in so many places to protect puppy and plants from one another. It’s kind of depressing. But there’s still some flowers around…

Freesia. On a table to protect it from she-who-shall-not-be-named.

Geraniums still going strong after decades…

Daisy with a cute little bug on it…

The rosemary is blooming.

The Meyer lemon is putting out some sweet-smelling blossoms!

The old reliable clivia bursting forth. These are now behind a Josie-proof fence. Our yard is truly turned into something like a zoo for suburban plants.
A hat-tip to these brave hangers-on!

Taking in her big back yard.

First day in a new home calls for a nap. This dog — who has become known as momdog — had a “heartbeat.” Josie had 6 siblings — sleeping alone must have been scary.

She found it comforting and it was SO CUTE! This phase would not last long, but it was adorbs while it lasted.

Water? Falling from the sky?

To be honest, it was too quiet and a tad subdued without our deeply missed, Alfie. But it was a good Christmas and as you can see, it was quite a haul!
God bless us, every one!
Bring on 2025!

I don’t mind an occasional sleepless night. This kind of thing is one of the reasons why.

Her last photo.
Alfie left us on the evening of October 23 after a full and happy day of walking and romping in the neighborhood, playtime, treats, mealtimes, and plenty of naps. We were blessed beyond measure to have her for 13 1/2 years.

They do not live long enough.
We miss her so much.
