I can’t begin to tell you how many times I’ve ridden this.
Hoppy is ageless.
A place for my photos and thoughts and stuff.

Hoppy is ageless.
The carom-off-the-side-of-the-lane technique works every time.
Yes, please.
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen these beauties!
…at Knott’s Berry Farm. It’s a weird and wonderful place to find in a theme park.
Look at this beauty. For sale for $1,400! And so much fun to lug around from one roller coaster to the next.
Yes, they have dinosaur bones too.
Here’s my favorite item: the mosasaur jawbone. If you’re going to part with a couple grand for a fossil, it had better have teeth.
I love this place. And not just for the fossils and other cool stuff. It’s also really over air conditioned. It’s like a meat locker in there, which is just the way I like it.
Still looking good!
This is Hoppy. Some of my earliest memories are of riding him, gripping the pole tightly, and watching the world whirl by between his ears.
Hoppy lives at Knott’s Berry Farm, on a 116-year old carousel that’s one of the finest in existence. Truly, it is a national treasure. Can’t wait for the park to fully re-open and give it another ride. I can almost hear that pipe organ playing now…
Watch it spin!
This guy has swagger. How much? His usual hang-out spot is in front of the chicken dinner restaurant. That’s how much.
And then there’s this imposter. But nobody is fooled.
Knott’s has a lovely wisteria vine sheltering its stroller rental/parking area.
Handsome Brady and Whiskey Jim have never looked better.
Goldie’s back in town and all is right with the world!
