Oklahoma Redbud, looking magical.

For a sec, I thought this was a weird little face looking up at me.

Some horses and some snowy mountains.

I’m no tracker, but I’d say a horse was nearby.
My tracking skills have been validated!

There are two ways to look at them. It’s either sad to see a house once happily occupied empty and disheveled, and a deceased person’s things greedily pawed through, or it’s comforting to see a home that was obviously well-loved for a long time, and the things they once used ready to be useful or cherished by another.

I choose the second option.

OK, not Palm Springs. It’s in Indio.

Another classic roadside attraction: Shields Date Garden!

Tragically, the theatre was closed that day.

It’s like an oasis in the desert.
They have this giant Marilyn Monroe downtown.

There were too many homeless people around so we didn’t linger. We hit the road to the next stop of the day.
