Late afternoon is the best time of day in my part of the world.
A place for my photos and thoughts and stuff.

Where will the path take us?
…to beds of golden poppy and yarrow…
…and oriental poppies…
…and Pride of Madeira.
The Secret Garden at Huntington Beach’s Central Park is truly a beautiful little spot.
This is Hoppy. Some of my earliest memories are of riding him, gripping the pole tightly, and watching the world whirl by between his ears.
Hoppy lives at Knott’s Berry Farm, on a 116-year old carousel that’s one of the finest in existence. Truly, it is a national treasure. Can’t wait for the park to fully re-open and give it another ride. I can almost hear that pipe organ playing now…
Watch it spin!
I have no idea what kind of tree these are, but I like them a lot.
Pink trumpet tree, Central Park.
This guy has swagger. How much? His usual hang-out spot is in front of the chicken dinner restaurant. That’s how much.
And then there’s this imposter. But nobody is fooled.
Knott’s has a lovely wisteria vine sheltering its stroller rental/parking area.
Handsome Brady and Whiskey Jim have never looked better.
Goldie’s back in town and all is right with the world!
