That’s a good Baptist breakfast!
A place for my photos and thoughts and stuff.
That’s a good Baptist breakfast!
A casualty of COVID…the weird and wonderful Angelo and Vinci’s in Fullerton. The food was never of world-beating quality, but the decor made the experience of eating there great fun.
My goal is to try every type of ramen sold in the local Japanese grocery store. This one had no English anywhere on the package, so if there were cooking instructions, but how hard could it be? It’s cheap ramen.
Look how simple and organized everything is! This is gonna be *so* good!
Something horrible happened. It was inedible. I was so disappointed.
The ongoing renovations on the Queen Mary have really improved the place. This room looked spectacular.
So much beautiful woodwork everywhere, and nary a squared off corner in sight.
Art deco at its finest.
The Queen Mary is really a very special place. It’s like a real-life time travel.

There were plenty of holiday photo ops!
Beautiful art deco frosted glass panels. Glorious.
It was a nice, atmospheric, foggy day. You could almost imagine you were on a voyage.
Breakfast of champions, LOL!
The greatest patty melt ever crafted by the hand of Man.
The original Balboa Bar for the win!
A representation of what was consumed.
Founders of the feast. Thanks, Walter and Cordelia!
The blue plate special: clam chowder and fish salad. Throw in some bread, smoked albacore and Earl Grey tea, and you’re all set!
Bring on the pub bingo!
The apple cobbler eased the pain of losing.
