Riding out the accursed Great Pacific Airshow in a park far away.
Alfie, the aggressive picknicker says, “Make me a plate, human!”
A wee bit of fallish color.
She’s thinking this air show avoidance thing ain’t half bad.

This guy, taking his sweet time…
Mr. Crook, our resident #1 Western fence lizard. You can tell it’s him because of the kink in his tail, the fact that he’s big for his species, and the direct, sassy eye contact he gives you. My day is made when I see this guy.
They’ve even got that old-school style of mural that virtually every natural history museum has. I’ve never seen one I didn’t LOVE.
A mammoth molar. It’s also a totally mammoth molar.

Black-crowned night heron.
It was a beautiful spring day!
Looking across the lake.
Like I said, she’s a big fan.
Alfie doing what Alfie does…checking out the playground equipment.

Enjoying not being anywhere near the air show.
Alfie and me.
A teensy bit of fallishness. (#14)
Wild mustard going nuts at Clark Regional Park.
There’s not a playground playset that she has not conquered.
Clark Regional Park, my favorite Orange County park…
