The rain waited longer than usual, but we did end up getting some, and some nice scenery to go with it.

A bold cattle egret. You try to squeeze by him and he just stands there and screeches at you.

It was a beautiful spring day.
Clear and breezy.
If you turn your back to the homes looming immediately behind you, you can almost forget that you’re in the midst of suburbia.
A nice cool day on the trail…
There were lots of flowers, even though the superbloom is fading…

So I have these binoculars that are supposed to be able to attach to your camera so you can really get good zoom shots. This is the best picture I was able to get, lol!

This guy, taking his sweet time…
Mr. Crook, our resident #1 Western fence lizard. You can tell it’s him because of the kink in his tail, the fact that he’s big for his species, and the direct, sassy eye contact he gives you. My day is made when I see this guy.
