And it’s true. She is.
A place for my photos and thoughts and stuff.

And it’s true. She is.

(We would come to understand the truth behind those shoe-button eyes, and those tiny puppy teeth sooner than we ever imagined…but I’m getting ahead of myself…)
These are not my photos, by the way. They were taken by people with the rescue from which we were to adopt this little beastie. More on that later…
Had a great New Year’s dinner with Friends-Who-Are-Family, and received an especially warm welcome from the Labradorks. These greetings go something like this:

Or sometimes they just climb on your lap. There are no photos of this happening to me, because everyone was pointing and laughing too hard. Trust me, it was a special experience.
Get a load of all of those Christmas trees in the background. That’s not even all of them. It’s a regular holiday forest!
A grand start to the year. The bar has been set very high indeed.

Mr. Moo and Miss Pearly-Whirly, the king and queen of the art of Labradork.

It’s kind of gold/coppery, round, and has one floppy ear. It reminds me of her. We bought multiples so we can keep replacing it as it rusts.

Sarge saved 9 of his fellow Marines and received the Purple Heart. Good boy, Sarge.

Her last photo.
Alfie left us on the evening of October 23 after a full and happy day of walking and romping in the neighborhood, playtime, treats, mealtimes, and plenty of naps. We were blessed beyond measure to have her for 13 1/2 years.

They do not live long enough.
We miss her so much.

Mr. Moo!!!

Miss Pearly-Whirly. So-called by me because she is never in focus because she never. stops. moving.

Rocco, the sweetest cat ever!

Riding out the accursed Great Pacific Airshow in a park far away.

Alfie, the aggressive picknicker says, “Make me a plate, human!”

A wee bit of fallish color.

She’s thinking this air show avoidance thing ain’t half bad.

And that’s it. No kidding. Good-looking leaf, though.
