A place for my photos and thoughts and stuff.

…as anyone who has seen enough of my photo journals already knows. But when we got a call that we were going to get the new doggo a week ahead of schedule, we frantically started eating at our favorite places knowing we wouldn’t be able to do that together for awhile.
My favorite brand of tea. Accept no less than Tea Meister LEGEND! (It’s the cheapest…)
Mystery pastry box! Not the best, but not the worst either.
It’s like “Where’s Waldo?” except it’s find K!
Seriously, I could eat one of these every day.
Pork katsu. Seriously, the amount of meat used to take up most of its half of the plate, so that’s sad, but occasionally, I’ve got to have it.
See you soon, Mi-Tan!
OK, not Palm Springs. It’s in Indio.
Another classic roadside attraction: Shields Date Garden!
Tragically, the theatre was closed that day.
It’s like an oasis in the desert.
Pricey but tasty!
Their pastrami was marvelous.
However, there would be certain…unpleasant associations with the stuff later on. It was not the fault of the deli, but the association is nonetheless present and is likely lasting.
The raw materials…
The accoutrements…
Bring the flammola!
Avocado, I mean. And every pizza should come with a side of garlic mashed potatoes. Stop looking at me like that.
Had a great New Year’s dinner with Friends-Who-Are-Family, and received an especially warm welcome from the Labradorks. These greetings go something like this:
Or sometimes they just climb on your lap. There are no photos of this happening to me, because everyone was pointing and laughing too hard. Trust me, it was a special experience.
Get a load of all of those Christmas trees in the background. That’s not even all of them. It’s a regular holiday forest!
A grand start to the year. The bar has been set very high indeed.
While they were tasty, I will say that I will never consume such a thing again, for my own safety, and the safety of all around me.
Voila! Easiest and best Christmas treat ever!
They were too pretty. I don’t usually go for this kind of thing, but it was delicious.
