In my book, this is the greatest chimney ever.
These aren’t even old houses, but kudos to whoever built them!
…a beautiful and relaxing place.
I love the extensive of indoor water features. And this spiral walkway is the bomb.
And all of the indoor plantings are wonderful…look at this crazy-huge fiddle plant!
It’s very open and very airy and I love it. It’s a wonderful place to spend the afternoon.
Oh that 1960s office block architecture!
Self portrait in a library used book store.
The architecture is weird and wonderful.
They have one of those Chinese terra cotta warriors there.
Keeping an eye on things to make sure everyone is studying and learning.
For real!
I see this guy every time I drive to the post office. It sits atop a patio shade structure, overlooking a rather lushly landscaped backyard. They have obviously had problems with birds nesting in its nose and mouth, and they’ve put up barriers, which just seems unfair, really. Birds are the living descendants of the dinosaurs, after all.
Anyway, they dress it up for holidays, which is awesome. What I would have given to have something like this growing up.
The paint’s a little faded, but otherwise the old place looks good.
It’s been 2 1/2 years. I fed AND petted them. So sue me.
Hail to the Queen!
You know it’s a clear day when you can see the towers on Mt. Wilson.
The famous statue of Seabiscuit in the walking ring.
Took this photo because…that tail! In the end, I think it slowed him down.
Fountain Valley library — small-town brutalism at it’s worst.
Beautiful winter sky.
Alfie takin’ it to City Hall!
